We will be using Shelfari to keep track of the books that we read this year. Each student will be expected to add at least one book that they've finished reading to Shelfari each month. You may definitely add more than one. Rate each book you finish and write a short review of the book.
September Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan
The final installment of the the Percy Jackson series, The Last Olympian doesn't disappoint. It's fast paced, exciting, and ties up all the story lines from the previous books. With Chronos at almost full health it's up to Percy and his friends to defend Olympus from the Titans as well as one of their own. I've enjoyed the entire series and how they have updated the well known tales of the Greek gods into a modern time and place. It opens an entire new generation of readers to these stories. While I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys action stories, there were parts of the story that I thought were predictable, but it didn't effect my enjoyment of the tale. -Mr. T
